Congrats to Sandy Alomar Jr. On Lifetime Achievement Award

This put a smile on my face this morning. Current Cleveland Indians first base coach and former catcher, Sandy Alomar Jr., will be receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award during the 19th Greater Cleveland Sports Awards next month.

He'll receive it during the ceremony February 6th at the Renaissance Cleveland Hotel Grand Ballroom in downtown Cleveland.

Sandy spent 11 seasons catching with the Indians, is a 6-time All Star, and a Cleveland Indians Hall of Fame member since 2009,. And after retiring from play he stayed with the organization as a member Indians coaching staff.

As a Greater Cleveland Sports Awards Lifetime Achievement Award recipient, Alomar joins amazing company, including Browns greats Jim Brown and Bernie Kosar, and fellow Tribe member Bob Feller.
