A passenger on a JetBlue flight from New York City to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, is credited with saving a fellow passenger’s life mid-flight. A woman experienced a medical emergency, suddenly fainting in the aisle while the crew was handing out drinks, according to someone on the plane.
The woman reportedly collapsed about an hour into the flight from high blood pressure and the pilot was preparing to make an emergency landing when a man stepped in to help. Photos shared on Twitter show a man who reportedly has EMT training caring for the woman. He stabilized her so the flight could continue to its destination.
The man’s quick response helped save the woman’s life; she was said to be conscious and talking when the plane landed. Broward County Sheriff emergency responders met with her at the scene, but she didn’t need to go to the hospital, all thanks to her fellow passenger.
