A group of bystanders helped rescue a truck driver who was trapped in his overturned big rig on Highway 316 near Jonestown, Mississippi, on Friday morning. The Coahoma County Fire Department reports that the accident happened just before noon, prompting a response from emergency crews.
When firefighters and EMS units from Pafford arrived, they found that the driver had already been pulled from the vehicle by a group of good Samaritans. No other vehicles appeared to be involved in the crash. Emergency crews from Lula, Jonestown, and Lyon also responded to the scene.
Paramedics treated the driver on-site before transporting him to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The quick response by bystanders and first responders helped ensure the driver’s safety.
