Hudson, a three-year-old boy from Oklahoma, was recently at a local McDonald’s getting breakfast with his mom, Ashlyn Drew, when he spotted an elderly man eating alone in a nearby booth. After asking his mother, the boy chose to take his food over and sit with him. “It made me cry in the middle of McDonald’s,” Drew says, adding that she didn’t expect to get emotional.
She explains that Hudson has always shown kindness toward older people, noting that he often sits with elderly couples and misses his late great-great-grandparents. The moment was captured on video and shared online, where it quickly went viral, racking up over a million views and thousands of likes and comments.
Viewers responded positively to the touching moment, praising Hudson’s kindness and telling Drew she should be proud. The family later learned that the man lives close by and had been friends with Hudson’s late great-grandfather.
