According to an article published by SWNSdigital, The pandemic has turned people's lives upside down for this past year. We all had to get used to many changes such as working, exercising and even cutting our own hair at home. Now that Americans are beginning to step out into the world on a more frequent basis, many are rushing to try and improve themselves before time runs out.
Half of all Americans say they fell into bad habits in 2020. Many gained weight, drank too much, stopped grooming themselves and some even started smoking again. A new survey says, two-thirds of Americans are jumping to improve their personal appearance. That includes taking better care of their hair, skin and overall physical & mental health.
Some took full advantage of quarantine by starting new skin care regimens, learning a hobby or working on their physique but 46% of people say they let themselves go. 60% of those people say they gained weight, an average of 17 pounds.
On a positive note, 47% of Americans do say they are in a better mental & emotional state than they were in last year. A whooping 64% of people want to be their best selves when life gets back to "normal." Things are starting to look more optimistic and many hope the pandemic is over before 2022.
