The Holden Arboretum is located in Kirtland, Ohio and covers over 3,500 acres making it the largest arboreta in the United States. There are more than 20 miles of hiking trails and is a well known haven for bird watchers. The Audubon Society named it as an Important Bird Area. They have documented more than 120,000 plants with their focus on trees and shrubs.
Planning a visit? The Holden Arboretum is open rain or shine all year! Reservations are required during public access hours Tuesday thru Sunday from 9am-5pm. They are closed every Monday and ask that you check the weather before purchasing your tickets as guest services are not able to transfer or refund tickets after your reservation time has passed.
There are no food and beverages available on site currently so bring your own water and snacks. Restrooms are open in the Corning Visitor Center. There are many hiking trails to choose from for you and your pet to take a stroll down. Dogs must be on a leash, bring bags for their waste and don't forget to bring them water.
Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for children (3-12 yrs. old) and FREE for 2 and under. Timed-ticket entry is required which can be purchased online. Tickets will not be sold on site.
