Diners and haunted house fans across Northeast Ohio have been abuzz about the news that a haunted house-themed restaurant will be opening in the old Melt location in Cleveland Heights. Being labeled as "The Haunted House Restaurant," this diner will be able to seat 125 guests and will be a one of a kind space that will pay homage to horror movies.

You will be engrossed by the smell of fresh popped popcorn as you walk into this establishment. The hostess stand has been replaced by a ticket booth and all the staff will be greeting you dressed as theater ushers. Artwork will reflect images of iconic characters like Pennywise, Slimer and Frankenstein's monster.

Owners, Andre Scott, Jeremiah Burks and Christopher Thomas, have enlisted Darnell "SuperChef" Ferguson to create their menu. You may have seen him on Rachel Ray, Travel Channel, Food Network and Bravo. Kids will also be encouraged to dress up as their favorite character or superhero!

After being closed for a year Happy Dog is opening back up the weekend of June 25th & 26th! Hot dogs and tots will be served as the kitchen reopens and they are hoping to be fully staffed once again for summer! The "Save Our Stages Bill" passed and created a program to help shuttered venue operators with a grant.

Happy Dog will be one of their first tier recipients and they will use that money to help re-stock their inventory and update their performance equipment. Polka Happy Hour is returning and they will have live music opening weekend provided by Herzog & Oregon Space Trail of Doom.

Hours are TBD, based upon staffing & current capacity/mask restrictions.
