Eating a healthy diet not only helps keep your body in a good physical condition but can help in the bedroom as well. Sex therapist, Dr. Bat Sheva Marcus, told Insider "The fact that you feel healthy and good in your body makes such a difference in your ability to be physical with someone else. That doesn't mean you have to be thin."
Here are some tips on foods that can help your overall wellbeing improving your sex life.
Fiber does not sound like a sexy food to indulge in but it can help prevent bloating. Bloating is the biggest mood killer so try eating whole wheat bread, oats, chickpeas and spinach. They are loaded with fiber and will keep you full.
We have always been told to eat your fresh fruits and veggies. They contain fiber, minerals and vitamins vital for a pro-sex diet. They help aide in digestion and they are also good for cardiovascular health. Keeping that blood pumping smoothly can help during all that activity and Dr. Marcus says, “If your blood is flowing well, it’s easier to get aroused and have an orgasm.”
Know your body and which foods make you feel sexy and which ones do not. Some foods can fill us up and make us tired after a good meal. Eat foods that make you happy and leave you feeling good this way you are ready to be in the mood at a moments notice.
Of course there is no magic cure for anything even great sex. Supplements give you promises of a better love life but can also be risky. Most pills and powders are not regulated so you are never really sure what you are putting in your body. Feeling healthy and confident is what makes for good sex and Dr. Marcus says, "The more you can learn about yourself and how you respond, the better."
