More than ever Americans are feeling the need to get back to normal. On thing people are planning on doing this summer is going to a concert or music festival. A new Lending Tree survey shows that a quarter of all Americans want to go see live music this season and that numbers increases in Millennials (36%) and Gen Z (32%).
Of all concert goers 40% plan to go out of state to see the artist they like with 10% having to fly to their destination. 60% of music fans say they plan to spend more on concerts to support their favorite bands. Nearly half of them (47%) plan on dropping more money on better seats.
Attendees say they plan on spending their money on food (55%), new outfit (33%), hotel/Airbnb (28%), merchandise (27%), VIP passes (20%), alcohol/drugs (17%) and Uber/Lyft (15%).
44% of people surveyed say they are planning on spending between $100 and $499 on a show experience this year. 20% of them say they plan on spending less than $100 and only 3% of them say they actually plan to spend $5,000 or more on a show.
