Cleveland Bites with Jen Picciano December 17th

Jen Picciano updates The Mark Nolan Show on what is trending in the food scene in Cleveland!

La Plaza is expanding! They are already operating in Amherst and Wickliffe (at speedy gas) as Taco Burrito Express. Planning a downtown location coming at re:bar on 9th street in 2022. There are plans for another market in Amherst as well.

Balaton Restaurant in Shaker Sq., which is Hungarian food, is closing for in person dining as of December 31st, 2021. They have been around for 60 years. They serve stuffed cabbage and paprikash. Their kitchen will stay open for carry out through January. They are currently looking for a place to relocate.

KOKO Bakery has opened their second location at1767 Coventry Road in Cleveland Heights. They had their Grand opening on December 16th. The first location of the Asian bakery is in Asia town. They serve Payne-steam buns, bubble tea and moon cakes.

Campus Grille in Berea has closed. After 7 unforgettable years, they have made the difficult decision to close their doors for good as of December 11th. They looked at the situation in every possible way, but in the end they just couldn't figure out how to make ends meet in light of the drastic reduction in business as a result of this pandemic.

Chipotle will soon opens its first “Chipotlane” in Cuyahoga Falls. This location will not have dining room access. Instead, the kitchen will be dedicated to digital orders that can be collected through a drive-thru or walk-up window. 994 Graham Road in Cuyahoga Falls and is expected to be open later in December.
