If you find yourself in Winter Haven, Florida, you’d best beware of whose car you compliment.
The Polk County Sheriff’s Office says 53-year-old John Sturgeon stopped his car suddenly last Sunday afternoon, got out, walked to the car behind him, and punched the driver of that car in the face.
After the incident, deputies asked the victim what could’ve provoked the attack, and he reportedly said that all he did was wave at Sturgeon and tell him “he had a nice car.”
Video from the victim’s dashcam shows Sturgeon walking to and from the car “cursing and yelling.”
It’s possible that the “nice car” comment rubbed Sturgeon the wrong way because he secretly wished his Dodge Charger was a Challenger.
