Guy Rescued From Mount Fuji Gets Rescued Again After Going Back For Phone

A man who was airlifted from Mount Fuji last week was rescued a second time over the weekend…when he went back to get his phone.

The man, from China, was rescued from Japan's most iconic peak on April 22nd after getting altitude sickness.

Four days later, rescuers had to go get the man again after he went back up to find his phone.

Another climber called the police after finding him unable to move.

The rescue led to outrage on social media with calls for the man to have to pay for the costs to bring him back down.

Officially, Mount Fuji trails are closed due to harsh conditions.
