Last week, a major three-day operation led by the National Child Protection Task Force (NCPTF) successfully located 25 missing children in six counties across Florida. The initiative, based out of Jacksonville, involved more than 70 individuals and recovered children ranging in age from seven to 17, some missing for just a week and others for more than a year.
The NCPTF collaborated with local sheriff’s offices, child protection professionals, prosecutors, and nonprofits, including the Tim Tebow Foundation. The coordinated efforts included reviewing cases, using advanced technology, and prioritizing long-term safety for the children. NCPTF CEO Kevin Branzetti reports that the operation also generated new investigative leads.
Former NFL quarterback Tim Tebow expressed pride in being a part of a team focused on helping “the world’s Most Vulnerable People.” The NCPTF notes that more recoveries are expected as the investigation continues. Many of the details of the cases are private to protect the children involved.
