While making a delivery last week, Aamir Ali, a delivery driver for Jet’s Pizza in Warren, Michigan, helped save an elderly woman after discovering her unconscious at her home. When no one answered the door despite lights being on and a dog barking inside, he called the number on the order and spoke with Danielle Ratliff, the woman’s daughter, who had placed the order for her mother. After explaining the situation, Ali looked through a window and saw the woman lying on the floor, prompting him to get help immediately.
After making sure she received medical attention, Ali returned to her home to check on her dog. While there, he noticed she’d left behind some personal belongings, so he gathered them and brought them to her at the hospital. Neighbor Megan Rose praised the delivery driver for his actions, describing him as a kind and wonderful person and saying he likely saved the woman’s life.
He later said he just did what he hopes someone would do for one of his loved ones. Ratliff also expressed her gratitude, calling Ali “a real-life angel.” Her mother is recovering well in the hospital following the incident.
