Police Officer & Mechanic Unite To Help Homeless Mom After Traffic Stop

During a routine traffic stop in Goodyear, Arizona, a police officer learned that a mother and her children were living in a hotel and struggling to make ends meet. Instead of just giving her a ticket, the officer contacted Community Action Team Officer Scott Daniel, who works to help people facing hardship. Officer Daniel then reached out to Marcus McFall, owner of McFall Tire and Auto Repair, for help.

McFall inspected the woman’s car and found several issues, including a broken air-conditioner, with repairs totaling around $2,000. Wanting to support her, McFall donated all of the labor and heavily discounted the parts. He says the mom was clearly doing her best and just needed a little support to get back on track.

The remaining repair costs were covered by Angels on Patrol, a nonprofit that assists people in crisis. Thanks to the teamwork of the officers, McFall, and the nonprofit, the woman was able to get her car fixed and get back to supporting her family.
